What is Road Rash?
Road rash, medically known as a skin abrasion, is the result of scraping the skin across a rugged surface, such as pavement. Road rash can happen to any exposed part of the body, such as the face, hands, shoulders, knees, shins, ankles, and other areas. There are different forms of road rash, ranging in severity, and is a common injury among motorcyclists and bicyclists.
